Getting to Chinchero

Overview: Popular travel destination in the northern proximity of Cuzco, north of the Piuray Lake. Characteristic white colonial buildings and ancient Inca terraces attract tourists to Chinchero, which is also known as Chincheros. This is a small town very close to Cuzco and must not be confused with the bigger town of Chinchero located much further west of Cuzco.

Latitude: 13° 23' 46" S

Longitude: 72° 03' 06" W

By Air: You can fly in to Cuzco and take a bus or rent or hire a vehicle to Chinchero.

By Rail: There is no train station in Chinchero. But you can travel south to the closest town of Anta or further southeast to Cuzco. Both of them are connected to the same railway line.

By Road: Very good road connections, periodical buses between Cuzco and Chincheros.
