Getting to Andahuaylas

Overview: Andahuaylas is often confused with Andahuaylillas. This is a town of 34.000 inhabitants and it is the second largest city in the province of Andahuaylas. Despite its small size, It has its own airport with flights exclusively to Cuzco. In its proximity you will find the ruins of Sondor, which belonged to the Chanka People. Andahuaylas is easy to find if you look on the map southwest of Cuzco, then southwest of Abancay. Another point of reference is the Laguna Pacucha, a lake to which Andahuaylas is located southwest.

Latitude: 13° 39' 31" S

Longitude: 73° 22' 31" W

By Air: Directly to Andahuaylas Airport. Small airport and flights are usually exclusively operated to Lima. Sometimes occasional flights are flown to other destinations as well. The airport is a very short drive away from the city.

By Rail: There is no train travel possibility.

By Road: Good road connection to the west (Ayacucho direction), south (Nazca direction), east (Cuzco direction). These are all main roads in quite good condition.
