Getting to Ayacucho

Overview: Over 150.000 people live in the city of Ayacucho, located in the Province of Huamanga. This city is among the most interesting Peruvian cities visited by foreign tourists.

By Air: The Coronel FAP Alfredo Mendívil Duarte Airport serves Ayacucho speeding up the travelling times. Flights are operated primarily to Lima, few airport to the rest of the country and very rarely.

By Rail: There is no rail travel possibility.

By Road: Good road system connects the city of Ayacucho with Cuzco, Pisco, Huancayo, Anaya. Also, other smaller roads connect it to the region's biggest cities, towns and villages.
