Getting to Urubamba

Overview: This town is among the most visited ones in the valley with the same name. A popular rural travel destination in Peru, not far from Cuzco.

GPS Coordinates:

Latitude: 13° 18' 15" S

Longitude: 72° 07' 00" W

By Air: Take a flight to Cuzco and then by road vehicle go north to Urubamba.

By Rail: No train travel possibilities directly. Alternatively, you could travel through Ollantaytambo, Anta, which are the closest train stations or Cuzco (the largest and furthest).

By Road: Urubamba can be best reached by road. If you are travelling by road, than you will pass through Chinchero, a scenic beautiful town with old ruins and colonial architecture. Chincheros is more beautiful than Urubamba, from this point of view, but Urubamba receives large crowds of visitors.
