Getting to Pucallpa

Overview: Pucallpa is in the eastern part of central Peru. It is the capital of the Ucayali Region. Pucallpa receives travelers who arrive there to explore the rainforest areas in the proximity.

Longitude: 74º 31' W

By Air: It is possible to fly in to Pucallpa from Lima and Iquitos.

By Rail: There are no rail networks here.

By Road: Pucallpa can be reached by good roads, unlike Iquitos and Puerto Maldonado. Pucallpa is crossed by a main national road that crosses into Brazil. If you afre travelling on the Lima - Cerro de Pasco - Huánuco - Pucallpa route, then you will have the best road under you. It is also possible to get to Pucallpa from northern Peru and southern Peru, including Cuzco. The roads are connecting to the artery that connects Peru through Pucallpa with Brazil.
